Richelle came to acupuncture through her own health and fertility journey — and through Traditional Chinese Medicine, found the care that changed her path. Today her practice is patient-centred, compassionate and rooted in women’s health and reproductive wellness.

Acupuncture is a gentle, whole-body approach rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that supports the body’s natural ability to restore balance and regulate itself. Rather than focusing on just one symptom or diagnosis, treatments aim to meet your body where it’s at and address the root causes contributing to imbalance.

At Vital, we tailors each treatment to the individual, supporting concerns such as hormonal health, fertility, chronic pain, stress, sleep, digestion, and nervous system regulation. Sessions may also incorporate cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, or tuina depending on your needs.

Treatments are designed to create a safe, calming space for physical and emotional restoration. You remain fully in control throughout the session, and many patients describe the experience as grounding, relaxing, and deeply restorative.

Does acupuncture hurt?

Acupuncture isn’t meant to be painful. The needles are extremely fine, much thinner than a typical injection needle. Some people feel nothing at all, while others may notice tingling, warmth, heaviness, itchiness, or subtle sensations throughout the body. Every person experiences acupuncture differently, and your comfort is always the priority. If anything is uncomfortable during treatment, adjustments can always be made – you remain in control of the session.

Most extended health benefit plans include acupuncture coverage, though coverage amounts vary by provider. Itemized receipts are provided for reimbursement or direct billing depending on your provider.
The number of sessions vary depending on your goals, how long symptoms have been present, and how your body responds to treatment. Some concerns improve more quickly, while others benefit from more ongoing support. After your initial assessment, Negeen will provide individualized recommendations and treatment plans tailored to your needs.

Eat a light meal or snack before your appointment and try not to arrive in an empty stomach. Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to arms, legs, or abdomen depending on your treatment.

No special preparation is needed — just come as you are
